Best TVs under ₹30,000 in India (2025)

India's TV market under ₹30,000 has become intensely competitive. You can now get a 55-inch 4K smart TV at this price — unthinkable five years ago. The challenge is separating genuine quality from spec-sheet marketing. Here's what our 6-week display testing found.

Top picks

1. Xiaomi TV X 55 — Best overall 55-inch

Price: ₹29,999

For a 55-inch 4K smart TV under ₹30,000, the Xiaomi TV X 55 is the benchmark. QLED panel with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support means content from Netflix, Prime Video, and JioCinema looks noticeably better than competing IPS panels. PatchWall + Android TV OS gives access to every Indian OTT app. 30W Dolby Atmos speakers are genuinely good for a flat TV.

2. TCL C61B QLED — Best picture quality

Price: ₹27,990 (43-inch)

TCL's C61B uses QLED technology for wider colour gamut (95% DCI-P3) and higher peak brightness (500 nits). In our side-by-side tests with Xiaomi and Samsung budget TVs, the TCL C61B had noticeably more vibrant HDR content and better black levels. Google TV is smooth and has Chromecast built-in. Highly recommended if display quality is your priority.

3. Samsung Crystal 4K Vivid (CU7700) — Best for reliability

Price: ₹28,990 (43-inch)

Samsung TVs hold their resale value and have the best after-sales service network in India (service centres in every district). The CU7700's Crystal Processor 4K upscales 1080p content well and Tizen OS is polished. AirSlim design looks premium. For buyers who value peace of mind over specs, Samsung wins.

4. Hisense A6K — Best budget 50-inch

Price: ₹24,999 (50-inch)

For pure screen size per rupee, the Hisense A6K 50-inch at ₹24,999 is extraordinary value. Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG support on a 50-inch IPS panel at under ₹25,000. VIDAA OS is fast but has fewer apps than Android TV or Tizen. Hisense is a global brand (OEM supplier for top brands) with improving Indian service.

Buying checklist

Panel type matters: QLED and VA panels have better contrast and black levels than IPS panels. For bright living rooms, higher peak brightness (400+ nits) matters more than contrast ratio.

Smart OS: Google TV (TCL, Sony) has the best app selection. Android TV is close. Tizen (Samsung) is polished. Avoid proprietary OS TVs if you use multiple OTT apps.

HDMI 2.1: If you own a PS5 or Xbox Series X, ensure at least one HDMI 2.1 port for 4K 120 Hz gaming. Most TVs under ₹30,000 have HDMI 2.0 — adequate for streaming but limits gaming performance.
